‘Spotted on Bruinwalk’ to return after three-year hiatus, this time run by USAC CEC
A student government office is reviving a forum for students to submit missed connections and interesting sightings around campus. Spotted on Bruinwalk, through which students were formerly able to report things observed on campus, will be revived by the Undergraduate Students Association Council Campus Events Commission after a three-year hiatus. Ashe Center combats low vaccination rate, needling students to get free flu shots
UCLA has the highest flu vaccination rate in the University of California system, but many students are still unvaccinated, leaving them at risk for illness. UCLA administered shots to nearly 11,000 students last year, said Geno Mehalik, a spokesperson for the Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center. Read more...

UCLA receives sustainability award for LEED Platinum-rated training facilities
UCLA earned an award for the sustainable design of its athletics facilities from the Los Angeles chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. USGBC LA gave UCLA the award because both the Wasserman Football Center and Mo Ostin Basketball Center had obtained Leadership in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum certification, the highest rating awarded to green buildings.
