Atmospheric and oceanic sciences department adds climate change major

Students push past human blockade supporting undocumented individuals

Student leaders are calling on administrators to respond to two students who disrupted a protest in support of undocumented students Thursday. Undergraduate Students Association Council members are encouraging students to email UCLA administrators about two students who tried to force their way through the “11 Minutes for the 11 Million” rally. Theologian discusses Christian faith, morality and ethics in campus event

A theologian encouraged students to use the Christian faith to develop their moral and ethical beliefs at an open mic discussion Friday evening. Albert Mohler, president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, came to UCLA to answer students’ questions about Christianity, morality and ethics at an event hosted by Grace on Campus, a Christian fellowship at UCLA. Faculty members win extended funding to develop cheaper alloy catalyst

Two UCLA professors received grants for their research on metal alloys for fuel cells. The National Science Foundation awarded a team of researchers including Jianwei Miao, a professor of physics and astronomy, Yu Huang, a professor of materials science and engineering, and another faculty member from the University of Colorado Boulder, with the Special Creativity Award, according to a UCLA press release Wednesday.
