UCLA professors conduct research on effects of Woolsey fire on local ecosystems

UCLA professors are conducting a field research study to examine how wildfire severity affects species native to the Santa Monica Mountains. Brad Shaffer, a distinguished professor in the department of ecology and evolutionary biology, and Jon Keeley, an adjunct professor in the department of ecology and evolutionary biology, are researching the effect of the Woolsey fire on plant and animal species in the federal parkland of the Santa Monica Mountains.
