Prostate cancer researchers receive grant, continue tech development

Two UCLA researchers received a $3.1 million grant to develop a new technology to treat prostate cancer. The National Institutes of Health awarded a grant to Leonard Marks, a professor of urology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and Shyam Natarajan, an adjunct assistant professor of urology, surgery and bioengineering at the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, to support their five-year research in prostate cancer. Visitors to campus release mice in Bruin Plate, cause commotion

Outside guests to campus released two mice inside Bruin Plate as a prank Sunday, according to a statement released by UCLA Dining Services. The mice were captured immediately, and UCLA Dining Services is working to address the misconduct, according to the statement. Read more...

Anderson School of Management Dean Judy Olian steps down

The dean of the UCLA Anderson School of Management is stepping down to lead another university. Judy Olian, who has served as Anderson’s dean since 2006, will be leaving her position at the end of the academic year to become the president of Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, said Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Scott Waugh in a message to faculty and staff Monday.
